SNAP result 2021: how to download scorecard, calculating SNAP results, cut-offs and more

SNAP result 2021 – Symbiosis International University (SIU) will announce the result of the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP 2021) on 1 February 2022. The SNAP 2021 scorecard will be available for download on the official website of SIU – snaptest.org. Registration for the SNAP exam has started and the window will close on 27 November 2021.

The result for this management entrance test will be available in online mode only. SNAP 2021 will be conducted in three sessions this year in computer-based mode. After the results are released, candidates can visit the official website and check their results by logging in using ID and Password. 

After you have checked your SNAP result, you will have to go through a group Exercise (GE), Personal Interaction (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT). These rounds will be conducted in all 16 SIU institutes.  The final list of candidates selected will be out within a month of the result declaration.

How to Check SNAP Result 2021?

SNAP results will only be available on the official website. Candidates have to visit the official website and download their SNAP results by logging into the portal. A physical copy of the results will not be released under any circumstances and the only way to check results is online.

Steps to Download SNAP Scorecard

Given below are 5 simple steps to download the SNAP result 2021 from the direct link on the official website. 

  1. Click on the official website link to check the SNAP result 2021.
  2. Click on the ‘download scorecard’ tab.
  3.  Enter your SNAP 2021 exam details – SNAP ID & password
  4.  Now click on the ‘login’. Make a note of the printer settings given in this tab. 
  5. The screen will display your SNAP result for 2021. It will look like the image given below. 
  6. Download and take a printout. 

Details Mentioned on the SNAP Scorecard

Once you have downloaded your SNAP result, the following details should be mentioned on your scorecard. 

  1. SNAP 2021 scores of all sections separately
  2. SNAP 2021 total score obtained
  3. Selection status (whether shortlisted or not)
  4. Candidate’s name
  5. Candidates roll number
  6. Signature & photograph of the candidate
  7. Official stamp of SNAP 2021 conducting authority

How to Calculate SNAP Results?

The official marking scheme of the SNAP 2021 exam, having 4 sections is as follows:

To calculate your SNAP score, apply the formula given below 

The formula applicable is: Marks obtained in SNAP exam = (Number of correct normal questions x 1) – (Number of incorrect normal questions x 0.25) 

The Final SNAP Result 2021

Only after the consideration of the cut-offs will the final result will be declared. The other parameters taken into account are:

  • Total number of candidates who appeared for the exam
  • Past cut off trends
  • Difficulty level of the test
  • Number of total seats available

If in any case, two candidates have obtained the same marks, the following points are used as tie-breaker. 

  • Priority is given to the candidate who has scored higher in the quant section.
  • If still the same marks are calculated, marks of the verbal section will be considered. 
  • If still the same ranks persist, both the students are awarded admission based on the total calculated out of 100 marks. 

The final result and merit list of selected candidates will be released in February 2022.

SNAP Cut-off

It is possible to make a good guess about SNAP cut-offs from previous year’s trends even though they vary every year. Candidates have to apply for the course of their choice along with the application form. If they clear the cut-off, they will be shortlisted by the institute for the next round of admission.

SNAP Admission Process

After the declaration of SNAP 2021 results, the participating institutes will release a list of the shortlisted candidates for further selection rounds based on the cut-offs. For a successful section into one of the esteemed SIU institutes, the aspirants have to qualify the following rounds –

  1. Group Excercise (GE)
  2. Writing Ability Test (WTA)
  3. Personal Interview (PI) and interaction

SIU will release the final merit list after all the rounds have been completed. The respective institute will display the merit list category wise. A Wait-list will be released only if any seats are left vacant. 

The weightage given to all the selection rounds while creating the final merit list is mentioned in the table below.

Documents to Carry at the Day of Selection

The colleges under SIU that conduct admission based on SNAP scores releases the names of shortlisted candidates. They have to appear for the next round of admission at a date specified in advance by the institute. 

On the day of the second round, candidates have to present certain documents for verification of credentials entered during the registration. Certain documents are required to be carried to the institute and they will be mentioned along with the names of the candidates.

What time will SNAP results come?

SNAP results are usually declared by 6 PM on a date specified in advance. SNAP 2021 results will be out on 1 February 2022 by the end of the working day. The result will be available on the official website. 

How do I check my SNAP scorecard?

You can check your SNAP scorecard by following the steps given below:
 
Go to the official website and click on the ‘Download scorecard’ tab.

Enter the  SNAP ID and Password generated during registration.

After logging in, you can view your scorecard on the first page.

Download it and take a printout for future reference.
