How to crack MAT 2019?

Trust us, there are no magic formulas or mantras to crack MAT or for that matter any exam but with an effective strategy and presence of mind, one can surely ace the test. We have listed below few simple yet smart last-minute tips to crack MAT 2019.

Focus on Revision

In these last few hours, the exam takers should just focus on revising the already covered topics, formulas, calculation tricks and shortcuts. They should not lose any time and energy in covering any new topics in these last minutes.

Take that last mock test 

Now is the time to take your last mock test for this MAT attempt and just concentrate on analyzing it. Giving mock tests back to back may not help in these last minutes. The students should analyze this last and previously taken mock tests to identify their mistakes and ensure that they don’t commit the same in the actual exam.

Time Management 

Time management is one of the most important last minute tips to crack MAT exam. While attempting the test on the d-day, the students are advised not to get stuck on a particular section, question or calculation for a longer time. They should keep moving forward as they can always come back to it later, if time permits. The students can start answering the test with the section they have expertise in and should keep an eye on the clock.

Other Quick Last Minute Tips for MAT Examinees 

  1. Reach the test centre at least 30 minutes before the scheduled exam time.
  2. Don't forget to carry a hard copy of your MAT admit card.
  3. In case you don't know the correct answer, adopt the selection by elimination method.
  4. MAT doesn’t have any sectional cut off. This means that if you are lacking performance in let’s say English section then you can easily compensate it by performing well in Quantitative Aptitude section.
  5. Don't rush to answer all the questions. You'll be able to score good even after answering 170 to 180 questions.
  6. If one section has gone bad, just don't worry, start another section fresh else you may ruin the exam.
  7. Please note that AIMA does not takes into account the score of Indian & Global Environment section while calculating the MAT percentile.
